Dean Said: U18s played Stourport Swifts today starting the game strong linking our passes creating chances, we just couldnt put the ball in the net. Then from nothing Swifts opened the scoring going into half time 1-0 down.
Second half playing more direct, Kyle was brought down in the box which ended up with us haveing a penalty which he converted 1-1.
But, unfotunatley it all went wrong, passing went to pot and defending was sloppy. Final score 3-1 Swifts.

Matchday 14 - 19/02/2023 Forest Falcons 6-3
Dean Said: U18 played Forest Falcons U18 today, we started the game very poorly, sloppy passing and no effort from some
Playing really bad we conceeded a goal which was our own fault. Trying to find our feet in the game we conceeded a 2nd. Then finally the boys started to play our football, Kyle got one back for us 2-1,then something that doesn't happen a lot Kian got us back level going into half time level.
Starting the second half al ot better, Kahmar opened his account 3-2 Panthers with the ball being moved more swiftly and pressing high Harrison put us further in front 4-2.
Then some sloppy defending saw them get one back 4-3. Kyle then got his second and our 5th with one minute left, we were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box which Harrison converted.
Final score 6-3 Panthers
POTM ~ Was awarded to Leo general strong play and holding the back four together and playing in a new position for us.
Matchday 13 - 12/02/2023 Stourport Swift Juniors Colts 1-2
Dean Said: U18s played Stourport Swifts today starting the game sloppy, not having much control of the ball, sloppy passing and challenges cost us a goal 1-0 Swifts, then a ball over the top cost us another goal 2-0 Swifts, going into half time behind.
A few choice words at half time and the boys seemed to listen, pressing high and stronger in the challenges, looking more hungry for the ball, we got one back through Kyle from the penalty spot 2-1 Swifts. Looking a lot more promissing second half a couple of bad decissions cost us. Final score 2-1 Swifts.
POTM today was Kahmar for his work rate on and off the ball.
Matchday 12 - 5/02/2023 BTC 1-3
Dean Said: U18s played BTC today, we started great creating chances and should have been 2 up in the first 5 minutes but we just couldnt convert the chances, then the game went scrappy with either team not creating much.
Then from nothing BTC opened the scoring 1-0 at half time.
With us being behind a couple of things were pointed out to the lads and we started the second half a lot better. Kolade equalised for us 1-1, we were up and running pressing high and with the midfield doing their job we got our 2nd through Mark 2-1.
Final Score BTC 1 Sedgley Panthers 2
POTM today was Leo for his strength and quality at the back.
Matchday 11 - 15/01/2023 Forest Falcons 1-3
Dean Said: U18s played Forrest Falcons U18 today.
We started slow which cost us as they soon opened the scoring 1-0 Falcons, struggling to get to grips with the game, we got one back through sloppy defending which ended up with us being awarded a penalty, which Kyle converted 1-1. This didnt last long, as Falcons got their 2nd Going into half time behind.
Second half was pretty much the same as the first Final score 3-1 Falcons
Motm today was Lawson for his strong challenges and never give up attitude
Matchday 10 - 8/01/2023 West Hagley East- 1-7
Dean Said: Smethwick Raiders vs Sedgley Panthers (A)
We had to swap pitches as the pitch we were supposed to play on was unplayable. We managed to get the game on and we started strong missing three chances in the first couple of minutes. We finally found the back of the net through Leo, still pressing and creating chances we couldnt increase our lead going into half time 1 up.
Second half we started strong again and quickly doubled our lead 2-0 through Harrison and then Kahmar made it 3, pretty much after the restart. With the pitch getting worse we got caught out and Smethwick got one back 3-1. Harrison got us another 4-1, followed soon after with his 3rd and our 5th. 5 -1 it was pretty much one way traffic at this point. Kyle got on the score sheet 6 -1, then pressing high and still moving the ball about Harrison got his 4th. The whole team put a shift in today!
Final Score: Smethwick Raiders 1 Sedgley Panthers 7
POTM today was awarded to Harrison for his goals and his work rate.
Matchday 9 - 27/11/2022 West Hagley East- 1-3

U18 played West Hagley today, starting strong playing some nice football We got caught napping and soon went behind 1-0. Kyle soon brought us level 1-1. We conceded our 2nd 2-1 Hagley going into half time.
We came out second half fighting, moving the ball quickly, pressing high and winning first and second balls, but couldnt convert our chances, then from nothing they got there 3rd. 1- 3 Hagley Full-time. POTM today was Lawson for his overal general play.
Matchday 8 - 13/11/2022 Halas Hawks Juniors West- 9-2
Dean Said: U17 played Halas Hawks today we started slow and conceeded early 1-0 Halas. Trying to play our game we got back into it 1-1 Kyle pressing high and keeping the ball a bit more, we got our 2nd through Kyle. We went into half time in front for a change in a formation and personally we started the second half alot better Kyle soon got his 3rd, 3-1 Panthers. With the formation suiting us, as we found a lot more space, which we took advantage of with Kolade getting on the score sheet 4-1, followed shortly afterwards with Kyle finding the net again with his 4th and our 5th 5-1. A long ball caught us napping 5-2 Going more direct now, Mark got his 1st for the season and our 6th 6-2, we didnt stop there and Kolade soon got his 2nd and our 7th 7-2 Panthers. Halas couldn't keep up with us, now switching the play, Leo got on the score sheet 8-2. Missing a lot of chances we could have been in double figures, then some nice play between our front three, Harrison opened his account 1st game for us and got amongst the goals. Final score 9-2 Panthers POTM today was Kyle, not only for his goals but his overall attitude.

Dean Said: We played West Hagley today hoping to carry on from last weeks performance but today the lads didnt seem to be up for it. Not in the game at all 1st half going into the break loosing 3-1 second half was better creating chances but just couldnt convert them final score 4-1 Hagley. Kyle getting our only goal today
Matchday 6 - 06/11/2022 Black Country Phoenix - 7-3
Dean Said: U17 played Black Country Phoenix today, we started slow which the opposition pressed high and caught us napping 1-0 phoenix. As soon as the goal went in we woke up and were soon back level through Kyle 1-1, we soon took control of the game with our second from Kolade, moving the ball around pressing high our 3rd followed shortly afterwards, one debut Kahmar got on the score sheet with our heads up Kolade added to it 4-1 going into half time.
We started the second half how we left off, but with a long ball over the top BCP got their 2nd 4-2. From the restart we got our 5th and Kahmar's 2nd swiftly followed by our 6th and Kolade's 2nd 6-2 Panthers. Making a couple of changes and still playing on the front foot Kolade got his 4th 7-2. At this point the game was getting heated and we gave a penalty away 7-3 which ended up the final score. POTM today was Kolade not only for his goals but his work rate on the pitch 👏👏⚽️

We played Forest falcons U17 today, I normally have a lot to say but today I havent, we lost 4-1 against a mid table team.

Dean Said: U18 Sedgley Panthers vs Balls To Cancer Juniors U18 played BTC in a local derby today with most of the lads from both teams going to the same school. A high intense game today when we played football and used our outlets they didn't have an answer to it, we opened the scoring through Kolade, we then re-grouped and pressed high switching the play we soon got our 2nd through Shaan, going into half time 2-0 to the good.
We didnt change anythin at half time we started how we left off on the front foot. A couple of strong challenges were flying in which the ref sort of delt with.
Final score 2-0 Panthers
POTM today was Dan our goalie which when called upon made some fantastic saves.
Matchday 3 - 2/10/202 [League Cup - knockout stage]

Dean Said: U18 played Dudley Kinswinford in the cup today. We started strong moving the ball around but playing against a div 1 team any mistakes they would punnish us for and this happened a lot today. When we played our game we were the better football side, but mistakes cost us today final score 8-1 DKFC.

Forest Falcons (a) - 1 - 4
Dean Said: U17s played Forest Falcons U18s today, so playing a year above themselves, we started strong moving the ball around each other, looking comfortable on the ball when we had it. We soon got the opener through Kyle 1-0 Panthers, with us keeping the pressure on until half time.
Half-time: Forest Falcons 0 Sedgley Panthers 1
Making the only substitue I had, we started the second half pretty much where we left off. We then gave a penalty away, which they converted 1-1.
The lads kept on pressing and moving the ball around and we soon got our 2nd 2-1, with our 3rd following shortly afterwards.
Changing the style of play we caught them out 4-1 Panthers, goals from Kyle and Lawson to finish the game off.

U18s paid their respects to HRH Queen Elizabeth II before the game started.
Today wasn't our day, we started strong and playing some nice football, we then went behind going into half time 1-0 down
Changing the team to try and sort the problem worked for a while, until Trysull got there second, followed shortly by a 3rd.
We then decided to play football, passing the ball around and switching play, we got one back through Kyle. We then pressed for the second, which we came close to getting hitting the post and then hitting one straight at their keeper. But we let ourselves down loosing the ball, they soon got there 4th, which was followed up by a 5th 5 minutes later.
